The first is their quarterly CAAFA Safe Home Network (CSHN) Meeting on Wednesday, September 25th from 10-11:30 at Mountain Health and Wellness, 625 N. Plaza Dr. Apache Junction. This quarter’s meeting will explore horse therapy as a tool to heal trauma.
The second is CAAFA’s biggest annual fundraiser, Disco Fever at 6pm at Dolce Vita, 3301 S Goldfield Rd, Apache Junction on Friday, October 5th.
When I went into Uncle Bears Grill and Bar, and saw the peanut shells scattered on the floor, and heard the noise, I knew it had to be a fun place.
It was a doggie’s paradise with pictures of patron’s pet dogs filling the walls and dividers. The peanuts on the table were in a doggie’s dish.
Where I sat, I had a great view of the mountains. It was a day with fascinating clouds which framed the mountains and made a beautiful scene. I also had a view of three big screen TV’s. I could watch three sports at once, hockey, baseball and basketball.
