Freedom Christian Academy Wins 11th Annual Pinal County Mock Trial Competition

Freedom Christian Academy won the Pinal County Mock Trial competition that was held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Pinal County Superior Court in Florence.

Freedom Christian Academy also won the Best Direct Examiner award for Malinda Blazek, Best Cross Examiner award for Brittnay Marsh, and Best Opening Statement by Moriah Salerno.

Free STEM Summer Camps available for high school students at CAC’s Signal Peak Campus in June

 

Central Arizona College’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program is offering a series of summer camps to students currently entering or currently enrolled in high school.

Students will benefit from learning more about different majors and careers in these fields while participating in fun activities with their peers.

Foothills is young but rich in tradition

I can still remember my first day as a freshman walking in to San Tan Foothills. The anticipation, excitement, and the nervous energy most of all.

Also you could feel a sense of tension that lingered in the air. Not many people were sure on how things would run at a brand new school on the first day.
We walked on to a beautiful campus with a friendly environment and welcoming staff. Looking back on that day I, and as I am sure, my fellow seniors are proud to see what Foothills has become today.

Florence Unified School District Free and Reduced Lunch Options for 2014-2015

Florence Unified Schools District #1 announces its policy for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the National School Lunch Program, USDA School Foods Program and School Breakfast Program). Florence Unified Schools offer healthy meals every school day. Breakfast costs $1.35 at K-8 Schools and $1.70 at High Schools; lunch costs $2.45 at K-8 schools and $2.85 at High Schools. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. Reduced price is $0 for breakfast and $0 for lunch.

Florence Unified Earns “Energy Star K-12 District Award”

On February 12, the Florence Unified School District received the “Energy Star K-12 District Award” for being one of the most energy efficient school districts in the state. Energy Star is a national performance benchmark for building energy efficiency that helps building owners compare energy usage in their building to similar buildings nationwide.
