In my 25 years as a small business owner, my career has spanned economic booms and downturns. Through it all, I have gained a great deal of experience...
Our president just violated the basic principle of nondiscrimination. By his forcing hard-working Americans with high credit scores to pay a premium o...
Like many Americans, I watch helplessly while current and past leaders may receive little or no punishment for violating laws they helped to create. I...
I can say without question, Paul Babeu is the best Sheriff, Pinal County has ever had. The reason I can say this is because I spent my entire career working for PCSO. I have served under numerous other sheriffs’ in the past and only one has brought the leadership, drive and integrity to bring PCSO to where they are today and that is Sheriff Paul Babeu. Let me give you just a few of the accomplishments which have occurred since he has become Sheriff.
I have known Jack McClaren for more than 15 years not only as a close friend, but as a law enforcement peer and as his boss. Jack has dedicated his life to serving others, from serving in the Army, to the Department of Corrections, to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, to the Florence Police Department, to being our elected county constable. Jack has more than enough to be a great sheriff at a time when our Sheriff’s Office needs one.
Today the Senate passed what I consider to be one of the worst bills I have seen since Obamacare. Riddle with pork, rewarding law breakers and making transparently false promises, I cannot support this bill.
I have stated before, I do support reforming our skilled and unskilled labor visa programs. Our farmers in Yuma desperately need a system that provides reliable labor. I intend to get them that reform.
I thank all of our community leaders who appeared at the Board of Supervisor’s meeting held on May 28. With your leadership and through your dedication, you serve our communities well and work every single day to provide our youth and families with a promising future.
The constable position is one of the most misunderstood elected positions because it's duties vary from state to state. Arizona Constables serve legal process for the Justice Court.
I was thinking about you Tisha. I was thinking back to 2007 when you were so enthusiastic about the new Chamber of Commerce you were building upon out here in STV. You were instrumental in my decision to join.
I have received robo-calls from the Babeu campaign attacking Jim Walsh, our Pinal County attorney. Not only are these calls possibly a violation of campaign laws but the very nature of the unfounded accusations and lies shows the gutter level of politics Mr. Babeu practices.
Ms. Barbara McGuire, while as a state representative, worked to improve state and local economies; mining opportunities, create jobs; improve education; quality of life issues and provided responsive government not just “political glad handing.” She knows the intricacies of the political process and how to get things done across the political parties.
Our population continues to grow in Pinal County, even in a down economy. New families are relocating in the faster growing cities of Maricopa and Casa Grande, yet it doesn't compare to unincorporated San Tan Valley. The 2010 census counts 81,321 San Tan residents and current estimates show 90,000 or more.
Executive Privilege is in the news. The President took a drastic step yesterday. He invoked privilege to not enforce the law, and no other agency or branch of government can intervene!
I discovered yesterday that it was announced at my children's school, Walker Butte K-8, that Dr. Fuller would be moving our principal, Mr. Allee, to Florence K-8. The reason given was he was needed there to strengthen that school. The information was only given to the staff, and I found out through a friend that works there (I will not mention any names so I do not get anyone in trouble) However, I expect that on Monday the entire community will find out.
For about four months now I have been watching the annexation process just south of us and am very concerned for the San Tan Valley residents. As you may know the Town of Florence is diligently working towards annexation of two communities. According to my friends they are even having firefighters in uniform knocking on doors in support of the annexation. However there has been strong opposition towards their proposals. This led me to wonder why a majority of the people south of us were against becoming incorporated into Florence and why we should be afraid. It didn’t take long to figure out.
Paul Babeu’s lies never quit — they just get more outrageous. His latest target is Pinal County Attorney James Walsh, and why is he going after Mr. Walsh? Because he can’t control him, that’s why.
Now we are being called a dangerous faction?
In this month's utility bill, San Tan Valley residents received another politically motivated "newsletter". Once again, our utility provider whose sole purpose is to provide our community with safe and clean water, has misinterpreted our mission and polluted their newsletter with misinformation.
We believe the residents of San Tan Valley should have the right to vote on whether or not they wish to incorporate. This is NOT an incorporation issue. This is a RIGHT TO VOTE issue.
I'd like to find out how to get this "confusion" changed, I'm speaking of the Ironwood/Gantzel confusion.
