Arizona Businesses Urged to Renew 2023 TPT Licenses to Avoid Penalties

tpt
San Tan Valley businesses are being reminded to renew their 2023 Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) licenses to avoid additional penalties. The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) is urging businesses with overdue renewal fees to act promptly, as renewal billing letters will be sent out this week. Originally, the deadline for TPT license renewal was January 1, 2023.

Although taxpayers can no longer renew their licenses on AZTaxes.gov, they can still pay their outstanding liabilities online. By doing so, businesses can save both time and money. To ensure that their accounts remain in good standing, taxpayers who have closed their businesses can either cancel their existing TPT licenses on AZTaxes.gov or submit aBusiness Account Update form with an effective cancel date.

It's important for businesses to keep their mailing addresses and account information up to date to receive letters, notices, and billings at the correct address. To ensure timely processing, renewal forms, correspondence, and payments should be sent to the following unique address:

Arizona Department of Revenue
Attn: License and Registration
PO Box 29082
Phoenix, AZ 85038-9082

Sending these documents to any other address may result in delays.

Businesses are reminded that operating without proper licensing is considered a class 3 misdemeanor. Once a business has renewed its TPT license and paid the associated fees in full, ADOR will validate the information and generate new TPT license certificates, which will then be mailed to the address on file.
