ADOR Issues Final Notices for 2025 TPT License Renewals
The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) has begun sending out renewal billing letters to businesses that have not yet paid their 2025 Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) License fees. These businesses now face additional penalties and must pay both the past-due renewal fees and any accrued charges.
The deadline to renew 2025 TPT licenses was January 1, 2025. Businesses that missed the renewal deadline can no longer manually renew online, but they can still pay the license liability quickly and easily through AZTaxes.gov. Early compliance can help avoid further fees and processing delays.
Closed Your Business? If your business has closed, it's important to cancel your TPT license to avoid continued fees and penalties. This can be done by:
- Logging into your account at AZTaxes.gov, or
- Submitting a Business Account Update form with the cancellation effective date.
To ensure timely processing, all renewal forms, correspondence, and payments must be sent to the correct address:
Arizona Department of Revenue
Attn: License and Registration
PO Box 29082
Phoenix, AZ 85038-9082
Sending documents to any other address will result in delays.
Keep Business Info CurrentTo prevent missing important notices, businesses should keep their mailing address and account details updated. This ensures prompt receipt of TPT certificates and any official communications from ADOR.
Penalties for Non-ComplianceOperating without a valid TPT license is considered a Class 3 misdemeanor. Once the license is paid in full, ADOR will validate the account and mail the updated TPT license certificate to the address on file.
