Ruling OKs enforcing other states' support orders
The state Court of Appeals previously ruled that Arizona's version of an interstate law on child support doesn't comply with requirements for modifying other states' orders.
Those requirement are intended to ensure that there's only one version of a child support order in effect at any one time.
However, a new Court of Appeals ruling says enforcing another state's order doesn't pose the same concern.
The Court of Appeals issued its ruling in a Maricopa County Superior Court case of an Arizona woman trying to enforce a North Carolina child support order against her former husband. He'd argued that Arizona courts couldn't enforce the North Carolina order.
