Arizona Department of Revenue to Hold Online Unclaimed Property Auction Feb. 18–22
Arizonans will soon have the opportunity to bid on jewelry, coins, currency, and collectible items through the state's annual unclaimed property auction.
Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) announced it will hold its 2026 Unclaimed Property Auction beginning Wednesday, February 18. The auction runs through Sunday, February 22 at 5 p.m.
Auction Details
The auction will be conducted online only through: Sierra Auction Management, Inc.
Bidding will take place at: www.sierraauction.com
Items up for bid come from abandoned safe deposit boxes and include:
- Jewelry
- Coins
- Currency
- Various collectible items
These items have remained unclaimed by their owners for many years.
Public Viewing Opportunity
While bidding is online only, the public can view auction items in person:
Friday, February 20
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sierra Auction Management, Inc.
4298 N. 35th Drive
Phoenix, AZ 85019
What Happens to the Proceeds?
Even after items are auctioned, the original owners—or their heirs—may still claim the value.
Proceeds from the sale of auctioned items are transferred into a custodial account, where funds remain available for rightful owners to claim.
Unclaimed property from safe deposit boxes represents only a portion of the assets ADOR safeguards. The department's Unclaimed Property Unit returns millions of dollars to residents each year. During fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025), a record $89 million was returned to rightful owners.
Check Before You Bid
Before placing a bid, residents are encouraged to search the state's unclaimed property database to see if they may have assets waiting for them.

The online auction closes at 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 22.
