ADOT Rolls Out Five New Specialty License Plates, Two Redesigned Plates Now Available

adot-new-plates

Exciting news, Arizona drivers! The Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division (ADOT MVD) has just broadened your options to display support for your favorite charitable causes while on the road. The ADOT MVD has released five brand-new specialty license plates that you can now purchase.

This rollout takes the tally of specialty plates offered by the ADOT to more than 90, each representing a diverse range of organizations and causes. You can view all the specialty plates at azdot.gov/plates and place an order at azmvdnow.gov/plates.

In the words of MVD Director Eric Jorgensen, "People who choose specialty license plates take pride in displaying their connection to these community organizations. MVD is pleased that we can partner with various organizations dedicated to helping Arizonans."

The new plates on offer are Alice Cooper's Solid Rock, Arizona Realtors® Homes for All, Cancer Support for Families, Diné College Warriors, and U.S. Army. Each specialty plate costs $25 annually, $17 of which goes directly to the designated charity or nonprofit group. The impact? More than $12 million raised for various causes and charities in the last fiscal year alone.

But that's not all! Arizona Coyotes and Families of Fallen Police Officers plates have been given a fresh new look. The latter has been renamed to 'Honoring Fallen Police Officers.' Existing owners of these plates can request the updated designs for a small replacement fee of $5 plus postage, though the previous designs remain valid for use.

Here's a quick rundown of what these new plates represent:

  • Alice Cooper's Solid Rock Plate supports free art, music, and dance programs for youth at Alice Cooper's Solid Rock Teen Centers in Phoenix and Mesa.
  • Arizona Realtors® Homes for All plates help Arizona communities establish housing projects via the Arizona REALTORS® Foundation for Housing and Community Outreach.
  • Cancer Support for Families plates support Cancer Support Community Arizona's emotional and social support services.
  • Diné College Warriors plates support the educational pursuits of students at Diné College on the Navajo Nation.
  • U.S. Army plates contribute to scholarships for children of soldiers and spouses of active duty enlisted soldiers.

The revamped Arizona Coyotes plate supports the Arizona Coyotes Foundation, and the Honoring Fallen Police Officers plate benefits C.O.P.S. Arizona.

So, what's stopping you? It's time to make your ride a bit more personal and contribute to the causes you care about. To view and order any specialty plate, please visit azmvdnow.gov. Happy driving, Arizona!
