Original San Tan Valley (CDP) — shown in green on the first map — includes the original unincorporated community known as San Tan Valley.

The boundaries of the Town of San Tan Valley — shown outlined in purple, shaded pink, on the second map — outlines a significantly smaller area.

The areas located inside the boundary are part of the Town of San Tan Valley boundary.

Those original areas located outside of the town boundaries are simply unincorporated San Tan Valley, as they always have been.
