Hunt Hwy lanes to traffic were opened on February 10th and posts throughout social media highlighted the excitement from the community.
The City of Apache Junction will be performing guardrail repair within the Ironwood Drive median between Guadalupe Avenue and Baseline Avenue on Monday February 13, 2017.
Phase III of the Hunt Hwy expansion will be complete by close of business Friday, February 10th. While there will still be some work to do in regards to landscape and median pavers near Wal-Mart which will require some traffic control and intermittent lane closures, the cones for the expansion itself will be removed.
Ellsworth Road will be closed south of Ocotillo from Friday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. to Monday, Jan. 30 at 5 a.m. There will be no access to Ocotillo Road from the south at Ellsworth Road during the closure; Ocotillo Road will remain open. The closure will allow for the removal of asphalt and pave the base. Completing the two pieces with a full closure instead of a flagging operation increases efficiency, safety and stability.
The final stretch of the current Hunt Highway construction project is right around the corner.

The annual Queen Creek Holiday Festival and Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3 from noon-7 p.m. The festivities will take on Ellsworth Road and at the Queen Creek Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Rd. Temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be in place before and during the parade.
