Supervisors Deny Medical Marijuana Dispensary Proposed for Dudleyville
The Pinal County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted down an application for a special use permit that would have placed a medical marijuana dispensary in Dudleyville, a small town in rural eastern Pinal County.
In 2010, voters approved Proposition 203, better known as the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act. The law gives patients, who are prescribed medical marijuana, the chance to obtain small amounts from tightly-regulated dispensaries. If the patient is not within 25 miles of a dispensary, they are legally able to cultivate their own marijuana.San Tan Valley HOA Academy Starts March 28th

Mr Craig Krause purchased five Quick Pick tickets on Friday, March 22nd from the Fry's Food Store at Bella Vista and Hunt Hwy, in San Tan Valley. On Monday morning, Krause checked his ticket and realized that the top line of his ticket had five matching numbers. He then found out that his five matching numbers were worth $1 million dollars.

Florence Unified School District hosted the 1st Annual FUSD Science Fair at Copper Basin K-8 on March 5th as a part of the Arizona SciTech Festival (Feb. 9 to Mar. 17). An estimated crowd of 300 people were in attendance as family, friends and community members stopped by to show their support and to see what the students are doing.
Entries in the districtwide show included the top three winners from each school for each category: Animal Sciences, Behavioral & Social Sciences, Cellular & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth & Planetary Science, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Medicine & Health Sciences, Physics & Astronomy and Plant Sciences. Students in grades 5-6 were judged in the Elementary Division, while students in grades 7-8 were placed in the Junior High Division.SRP Service Center Customer Service Office in San Tan Valley to Close

Corey Allen Arrested Friday in connection with San Tan Valley murder
Corey Allen, who is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in November in San Tan Valley was arrested in Colorado, Friday, March 8th.
The U.S. Marshals Service says 28-year-old Corey Allen was taken into custody in Leadville on an arrest warrant that charged him with first-degree murder and kidnapping.
Allen was booked into the Lake County jail, where he awaits extradition to Arizona.
