It's cold and flu season, and with illness comes medication, both prescription and over the counter. Unfortunately with more medication available in the house, there is more opportunity for the medication to be abused or misused.
Pinal County Public Works would like to give a big thank you to all the San Tan Valley residents and commuters for your patience. We understand many motorists are going through some trying times on the road with multiple areas of road construction. Unfortunately, in order to make progress we must make the necessary provisions. Many improvements have been made throughout the year, and we will continue with more to come to ensure better and safer roads. Let us take this opportunity to share a list of accomplishments and goals to reach in the near future.
On Friday, November 25th, 2016 at 6:47 p.m. a Pinal County Sheriff's Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a truck in the WalMart parking lot located at West Hunt Highway and North Gary Road, San Tan Valley.

On Friday, November 25th, 2016 at 9:04 a.m. a Pinal County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to stop a Chevy truck at Ironwood and Westbrooke for criminal speed. The driver of the truck refused to stop and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit, the truck was continuing to speed, pass other vehicles unsafely and did not stop for red lights at intersections.
On Sunday, November 20th, 2016 at 5:17 a.m. the Pinal County Sheriff's 9-1-1 Communications Center received several calls regarding a single vehicle that crashed into a telephone pole on Hunt Highway near East Bella Vista Road, San Tan Valley.
On Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at 5:34 a.m. the Pinal County Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 call from an employee of the Circle K located at 320 East Hunt Highway, San Tan Valley. The employee reported that there was a male subject making a "terrorist threat" against the store, that he was going to "light the fuel pumps on fire." Deputies arrived at the store within minutes.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help to locate 15-year-old Austin Streit.
A new church is coming to San Tan Valley. Heart of Promises Ministries is currently under construction and looking to open the doors in early 2017. The church will meet at 30651 N. Gary Road in San Tan Valley. Heart of Promises is a family-oriented, non-denominational church, emphasizing on bringing souls closer to God and building community in the San Tan Valley/Queen creek area. Heart of Promises emphasizes individuals to come as you are and be fed spiritually through the Word of God.
Over the last couple of weeks, suspicious fires have been popping up in San Tan Valley, all primarily in the same general area of Ironwood and Kenworthy. First they were dumpsters, then a home under construction and then around 2 am this morning a mattress.
