“In helping with my husband’s campaign, going door to door and visiting with people all over the district, I felt that since I was already campaigning, I might as well run for office with him,” said Cara.
Mr. Prior will be on the Ballot in November running against Republican Rich Crandall. Mrs. Prior, as a write in candidate, will not be listed on the ballot in November, but can be voted for by writing her name on the ballot. She and Matthew Cerra will be facing Kelly Townsend and Doug Coleman, both Republicans.
Scott and Cara say they believe there needs to be a change in Arizona politics, and that new people and fresh ideas different than the status quo, are necessary to help Arizona gain back its economic stability, better education, and get people back to work.
“Our current legislatures have lost focus with the needs and will of the people” says Scott. “It’s time that working class citizens stand up and take back the control of the state government and return it to the people that is it supposed to be working for”.
