I initially met Ms. Castillo, at an Arizona Chamber Executives conference, where she represented the San Tan Valley Chamber of Commerce. From what I can tell, Tisha has represented San Tan Valley, the business community, and the San Tan Valley Chamber of Commerce at every opportunity since.
I have witnessed first-hand Ms Castillo's passion, desire, and ability to be an active advocate for small businesses in San Tan Valley. It’s readily apparent that she has a strong interest in all aspects of Pinal County and devotes many hours to civic causes. Most chamber executives that do work at her level are paid professionals, earning full-time professional salaries. Ms. Castillo works just as hard and produces tremendous results for her community as a volunteer. This is truly exceptional.
Having earned the Jack Camper Scholarship to attend the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Winter Institute for Organization Management in Tucson this past January, Ms. Castillo takes every opportunity to improve her skills in organizational management and advocacy and has a stellar reputation amongst her peers. Earning this scholarship is based on merit; it is not a popularity contest.
A few years ago, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – and most chambers across the state of Arizona – had never heard of San Tan Valley. Due to Ms. Castillo's determination and strong skill set, the U.S. Chamber and all chambers across the state are not only aware of San Tan Valley and its business community; we also know that San Tan Valley will be at the table, properly represented, as it should be.
For all of these reasons, I support Ms. Castillo for County Supervisor.
