Both are award-winning recipes — the Prickly Pear Margarita won first place for Groen in the Scottsdale Culinary Festival and the Salsa Jam with Nopalitos earned her a first place in a recent Better Homes and Gardens magazine competition.

Residents in the San Tan Valley area will soon see county-contracted crews working to improve a section of Bella Vista Road. A ‘scrub seal’ treatment is slated to be applied beginning Monday November 5, 2012, on Bella Vista Road from Hunt Highway to Gantzel Road.
This is the first of a two-step pavement preservation project and includes a combined total of 22,000 square yards of material used on a 2.68 miles section of Bella Vista Road. Application of a slurry seal will follow next year after the scrub seal is fully cured. Cactus Asphalt will be performing the work under a contract with Pinal County.Central Christian Church’s Queen Creek campus and Canyon State Academy are excited once again to bring their annual community Thanksgiving dinner to the Queen Creek area.
This event will take place on Saturday, November 17th from 3-5 pm at Canyon State Academy located at 20061 East Rittenhouse Road.
