Dunn Edwards paint supply company in Mesa on Southern Avenue is graciously donating all the paint for the house. San Tan Leads member, Wise Choice Painting, LLC has offered to volunteer their time and expertise to paint the house along with coordinating all the volunteers who will be assisting this huge effort. Covenant Life Christian Center has been a sponsor of many volunteer and donation efforts for this particular group home company and their current group home. The church has provided mentoring, clothing, gifts, hygiene products, food and most of all, love.
There are approximately 13,000 youth that are in the care of the State and currently group homes only have the capacity to house 8,000, so the need is extreme. The Nala Manor house is a 5,500 sq. ft. home with 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, a recreation center, basketball court surrounded by pomegranate, lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange trees and pecan groves situated on four acres, The female youth that will live in this home will come from various environments that at some point and time in their life was deemed inappropriate or unsafe. Some youth have special circumstances where they simply have nowhere else to go. The company’s goal is to inspire growth and development and help in aiding them by providing a safe, secure and healthy environment to help them move forward through life skills, parenting, education, positive role modeling and nurturing.
“”We couldn’t do this without loyal, hardworking volunteers who have a heart to help provide these girls with a safe and clean environment to help them overcome obstacles and become who they were destined to be”, states one of the group home owners.
