Karen has never asked to be acknowledged for the good deeds and most of the time, no one even knows that she has stopped by. That is until this past Friday. While some may be superstitiously awaiting a catastrophe on Fri the 13th, the Johnson Community Library received an unexpected gift.
Carrie Ribiero, said that she was outside for a few moments and noticed a woman and two small children exit a vehicle, parked at the library. As she watched them, they pulled flower pots and tools out of their car. They then walked over to the two planter areas at the library and started planting flowers. "I couldn't believe it," said Carrie. "They simply saw the need and decided to help out. With the anniversary celebration happening the next day, it was perfect timing too. I wanted to tell everyone how touched all of us were by their generosity."
The Johnson Community Library wanted to not only thank Karen, T.J and Shiana for what they did for the library, but also to encourage everyone in the community to reach out and help. There are so many people and businesses that just need a little extra hand. Pitching in and helping the community is a win-win for everyone.
