Each year the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court (COSC) handles upwards of $5 million dollars in the forms of fees, receipted amounts, bonds, fines and restitutions. Clerk Roche, who holds an MBA, has added another layer of security not only because it is a sound and well-established business practice, but also because other Arizona County Superior Court Clerks, as well as the Arizona Supreme Court Rules have set precedent. The cameras will also function to protect the safety of the COSC employees.
“Bottom line, I am charged with the stewardship of irreplaceable documents,” said Roche. “Pinal County citizens deserve the same protections from the Clerk’s office that other Arizona counties currently have,” he continued.
It is the Clerk Roche’s hope that the enhanced security will be welcomed by the public and to that end welcomes feedback from the general public, via the website at www.pinalcountyaz.gov/COSC
