Students from Mrs. Vasallo’s 2010-2011 sixth grade art class will be represented this year during the Centennial Celebration.

Mrs. Vasallo was one of the women who worked on the State of Arizona’s Centennial Quilt.

Her students were so inspired that she worked with them to make a miniature quilt that will also be part of the Centennial Quilt project and tour the state of Arizona this year.   Add a comment

Valley Christian High School would like to thank San Tan High school coaching staff and players for conducting themselves in positive and respectful way Friday night at the football game.   Dillon Lackhan, starting linebacker for VCHS, was injured in the 3rd quarter of the game Friday night and experienced some head trauma.   Add a comment

The Arizona Department of Education recently published data on the state’s graduation and drop-out rates for the 2010-2011 school year.  San Tan Foothills High School, a Coolidge Unified School District high school, showed better rates in both areas as compared to the overall numbers for Arizona. Coolidge Unified School District will be administering the Arizona Instrument to Measure the Standards (AIMS) on October 25, 26, and 27, 2011. This is another chance for students expected to graduate in 2013 or earlier to meet the graduation requirement.  All students who have not yet “Met” the standards for Writing, Reading, or Mathematics are expected to participate.  Any student who has “Met” the requirement but wishes to try to “Exceed” the requirement is also allowed to test.  These students should have already signed up in the school office. At Coolidge Unified School District’s September 14th regular Governing Board meeting, Mr. Joe Galish, Business Teacher and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Advisor for San Tan Foothills High School, was recognized for receiving the New Advisor of the Year Award for FBLA at the 36th Annual Arizona State Conference for CTE (Career & Technical Education).
