An article in the Southeast Valley Ledger dated August 3, 2012 stated that the Coolidge Unified School District was going out for an eight percent M & O (Maintenance and Operation) override, but in fact the District is asking for a ten percent M & O override.  Coolidge voters first approved an eight percent M & O override in 2004.  This override expired June 30, 2012.  With the reduction in students, the expiration of the override, and state reductions Coolidge Unified School District had to reduce the M & O budget for the 2012-2013 school year by $1,764,016.
