Jack Harmon Elementary students raised over $800 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which supports cancer research and improves the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.
Combs Middle School community service projects are an important aspect of middle school life. Whether this occurs through all-school activities or on an individual basis, CMS regularly welcomes the opportunity to serve others. One aspect of community service that happens often at the middle school is that of an Eagle Scout project.
Members of the inaugural Ranch Junior Optimist International (JOI) were inducted on January 20, 2017 at Ranch Elementary. Cynthia Vaughn, Arizona District of Optimist International JOI Club Chair, presented the opening dedication. She spoke to the junior inductees about what it means to be part of this international organization and the opportunities to serve youth in their community.

Combs Middle School seventh grade honors students recently participated in the ASU Honeywell Fiesta Bowl Aerospace Challenge at the ASU Polytechnic Campus in Mesa, Arizona.

The advanced Ag Science students at Combs High School are involved in building raised plant beds with a hands-on project. After the initial build of the greenhouses, students are now involved in implementing scientific practices by mixing their soil with the proper proportions of water and plant nutrients. The students will be growing all the vegetables needed to make salsa for the CHS staff.
Preschool Pathfinders is a new club at Simonton Elementary in San Tan Valley.
Students in grades 5 and 6 apply to be a leader in the preschool classrooms to support our youngest Stallions.
In partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation, Extra Yard for Teachers, the Fiesta Bowl granted $500,000 throughout the month of December by fulfilling 100 randomly-selected wishes. One of those wishes went to a local San Tan Valley school.
Combs Middle School was honored to celebrate Veterans Day with its school community on Thursday, November 10. To honor veterans within the middle school community, students were able to invite a veteran to CMS for a variety of festivities.
Jack W. Harmon Elementary School's annual Veterans Day Assembly is scheduled for Thursday, November 10th at 9:30 am. The students and staff invite all members of our community who have served in our nation's armed forces to attend the assembly.
