The Arizona Department of Public Safety Friday identified the victims of the fiery accident that occurred Thursday evening on Interstate 10 near Picacho Peak during a dust storm and left two people with serious injuries and a 4-month-old baby dead.

The infant was identified as 4-month-old Lynette Medina, of Glendale. She was in the back seat of a Dodge minivan that either stopped or slow down in the right lane of the westbound part of the highway and was struck by a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the Dodge was identified as Emma Barrios, 43, and her passenger was Martin Robago, 12. Both suffered injuries, DPS said. The driver of the tractor trailer, 52-year-old Natanael Dasilva, was not injured.

Barrios, of Tucson, is Martin's mother and Lynette's aunt. DPS said Barrios was returning Lynette to her mother at the time of the crash.

The collision pushed the Dodge into the median, where it then burst into flames.

Other motorists got the two adults out of the minivan but could not reach the baby in time.

I-10 was reopened at approximately 12:24 a.m. Friday.
