A prominent Valley cardiologist and founder of the Apache Junction Hospital (Arizona Regional Medical Center) died in the crash of his small private plane near Las Vegas, New Mexico on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2012.
Dr. Robert M. Siegel, 63, was killed in the crash reportedly after experiencing engine problems shortly after refueling and taking off from the Las Vegas airport.
