San Tan Valley Academic Recognition Awards

The San Tan Valley Academic Recognition Awards focuses on recognizing the academic accomplishments of students, teachers and schools that comprise the San Tan Valley.  This year’s event took place at San Tan Foothills High School in Coolidge on Thursday, April 26th.  

Besides the J.O. Combs Unified School District honorees, the Coolidge and Florence Unified School Districts recognized recipients.  Within each district, the Superintendent and each school’s Principal provided the awards committee with their selected honorees in the following categories: Kindergarten, 1-3 grade, 4-5 grade, and 6-8 grade.  Outstanding staff members were selected in the following areas: grades K-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and support staff.

Combs Middle School is proud to share that Hunter Jones (8th grader) was selected as the outstanding 6-8 student; Mrs. Ondrea Cook was selected as the outstanding teacher for grades 6-8, and Dr. Maria Ramirez was selected as the outstanding support staff member.
