Dear Simonton Families,

It is hard to believe that the 2011-2012 school year is nearly complete and summer vacation is upon us! We have had a fantastic school year and achieved on our Stampede to Success!

As I reflect back on the school year it is with great excitement to share that our community has established a partnership that provides our students and their families with the best educational op- portunities possible and in- stilled in them the love for learning. Our school cele- brated student successes all year long through quarterly Academic Award Assemblies, Character lunches, AR quarterly celebrations, monthly Character Assemblies, to name just a few. With the support of PTO we held many different family events from the Back to School Luau, Dia- mondback Family Game Night, Family Game and Movie Nights, Spring Fling Dance and much more. We have very involved families; thank you for supporting our school!

I have truly enjoyed getting to know the students, staff and parents in our school community. Thank you for welcom- ing me into this community and making feel me at home!

I am looking forward to an- other great school year! Thank you for sending your children to Simonton! It is my honor to serve as your principal.
