Greetings J.O. Combs Families,

It is with great excitement and high expectations that the Combs staff and I welcome you to the 2010-11 school year. It was just a year ago that we opened the doors to the District’s first high school, Combs High School. How exciting it is to know that this school year we will welcome students in grade 11, and the following year will have our first graduating class.

In addition to Combs High School, J.O. Combs Middle School, and our four outstanding elementary schools, this year we opened Combs Traditional Academy, a back-to-basics learning environment for grades K-5. Combs Traditional Academy is located on the southeast corner of Gantzel and Combs Road, and we are accepting student registrations daily.

The J.O. Combs staff is committed to providing quality education in a safe and caring environment to our 4,200 students. We look forward to partnering with you, our J.O. Combs families, so that we can work together to provide the best education for your children.

I wish you and your children a successful school year, and I look forward to seeing many of you at the numerous events and functions that will be held throughout the year.
