Florence Unified School District Participates in National Victim's Rights Week

In observance of National Victim's Rights Week and in support of FUSD's Anti-Bully stance, volunteers from the Community Services Division of the Pinal County Attorney's Office were in all of the Florence District schools on Monday or Tuesday this week handing out flyers about Anti-Bullying, Victim's Rights and online resources to middle school and high school students. Pinal County Victim Advocate Ginger Butcher who coordinated the event stated, "All of the advocates that went into the schools had nothing but great things to say about the experience and their interactions with your wonderful students." The Pinal County Attorney's Office Community Services Division and Harkins Theatre, in observance of National Victim's Rights Week, will also present a free showing of the feature film "Heaven's Rain" at the Harkins Theatre in the Promenade Plaza in Casa Grande on Friday, April 27 at 1pm. This film about victim's rights is controversial for its unwavering  presentation of the hard facts, but is ultimately a tribute to the love, faith and perseverance of one family, and the groundbreaking victims' rights legislation that resulted from their experience.
