The winners were:
Grades 3/4: First place: Magma Ranch – Bradley Pollock, Natalie Kramer, Timothy Lewis and Michael Keefe; second Place: Circle Cross – Ryan February, Aeris Whitlock, Austin Shawley and Alexis Sams; and third place: Copper Basin – Nolan Fleener, Lillian Krull, Alila Udy and Trevyn Badger.
Grades 5/6: First place: Copper Basin – Marissa Ritchea, Logan Schumacher, John Nuno and Samantha Sabbara; second Place: Anthem – Adam Denning, Skylar Schwanbeck, Sam Wolanin and Andrew Smith; and third place: Magma Ranch – Maddy Milligan, Adam Paul, Logan Hatch and Katelyn Hemstreet.
Grades 7/8: First place: Skyline Ranch – Ethan Castelli, Brandon Camacho, Samantha Young, and Keri Young; second Place: Anthem – Max Mielke, Hayden Rosta, Jasmine Perryman and Trevor Scott; and third place: Magma Ranch – Marisol Ibarra, Carla Kalzadias, Saul Salas and Jennifer Salgado.
The districtwide math bee is an annual event that combines teamwork and technology, as teams respond to math problems using the student responder systems commonly known as “clickers.” Team scores are automatically tabulated and projected on large screens for the audience to see. District Math Bee Coordinators are: Jack Healey, Gabriel Nazario, Nick Trakas and Gabriel Carrillo. Lori Nelson was Master of Ceremonies.
