The San Tan Youth Football League’s opening day event will be held 6-9 p.m. Sept. 29 at Desert Mountain Park, 22201 S. Hawes Road in Queen Creek.

The kids football league event is open to community and will include carnival games, booths, bounce houses, the football player introductions, local vendors and food vendors.

This will be the sixth year for the San Tan Youth Football League’s opening day event at Desert Mountain Park. Wristbands will be pre-sold the day of the event at the ticket booth at Desert Mountain Park for $5, which will include 10 carnival tickets. Some of the food vendors will include kettle corn, cotton candy, snow cones and Tom’s BBQ Chicago Style.

San Tan Youth Football League has been serving the East Valley kids in the Queen Creek area for more than 13 years. It is a locally based, competitive-tackle football league for youth, 7 years old through junior high school. There are four divisions to choose from including the Mighty Mites, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee and Jr. High.

“ This is our 13th year and we pride ourselves in giving back to the community,” President Adam Neville said in a press release. “ This event is just one of the events that we put on in an effort to provide a fun event for the community. You don’t have to be a member of the San Tan Youth Football League to attend this event. It is open to everybody and we look forward to seeing you there.”
