To recognize the contributions and sacrifices of those who defend freedom, Central Arizona College will hold a series of late-morning celebratory events to honor veterans of the armed forces.

The Veterans Days Series will commence on Monday, Nov. 5, at the Signal Peak Campus with similar events scheduled for the Aravaipa Campus on Wednesday, Nov. 7, and the Superstition Mountain Campus on Thursday, Nov. 8. Each event will feature the Presentation of Colors, singing of the National Anthem, special words of thanks, guest speakers and light snacks.

“Each year the CAC family takes time to pay tribute to the men and women who have served our great nation through military service,” Luis Sanchez, CAC’s director of admissions & recruitment, explained. “These events are open to everyone and are our way of supporting the many men and women who put forth their lives to defend our freedom.”

The celebration will begin on Monday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. at the Signal Peak Campus located between the cities of Casa Grande and Coolidge at 8470 N. Overfield Road. The outdoor ceremony will take place at the Student Services Pavilion located behind the Student Services Building (Building M, Clock Tower).

The event will move to the Aravaipa Campus on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. at the D Building. The Aravaipa Campus is located at 80440 E. Aravaipa Road between the towns of Winkelman and Mammoth in Eastern Pinal County.

The series will conclude on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 11:30 a.m. on the new green at the Superstition Mountain Campus located in Apache Junction at 805 S. Idaho Road.
