The following classes are just a sampling of what is being offered this fall. All classes are subject to change. Please visit the CAC website at www.centralaz.edu to review the schedule or to register for classes.
The semester begins throughout the district on Friday evening after 4:30 p.m. with Weekend College courses. Most traditional classes start Monday, Aug. 20 and run through Dec. 14, unless otherwise noted. CAC also offers non-credit lifelong learning courses and Late Start credit classes throughout the semester.
The following classes are a small sampling of some of the offerings at the Superstition Mountain Campus. Classes may fill up quickly.
ART 101 - Two-Dimensional Design
Days: Mondays and Wednesdays (12-2:30 p.m.)
Course Description: A study of perception, emphasizing the elements and principles of design as a basis of all creative work in the visual arts with emphasis on two-dimensional media.
BUS 122 - Small Business Management
Day: Thursdays (3-4:15 p.m. with an online lab)
Course Description: Factors in planning, owning, and managing a small business with use of case materials to develop entrepreneurship and managerial/marketing skills.
DMS 132 - Abdominal Imaging I
Day: Wednesdays (1-4 p.m.)
Course Description: Introduction to Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Abdominal scanning including physiology, pathology, terminology, anatomy and techniques.
GLG 101 - Physical Geology
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays (1:30-4:15 p.m.)
Course Description: Basic principles of geology. Earth materials, external processes, internal processes, mineral and energy resources, and planetary geology.
